Meet Carly

A career support space built from real-life reinvention.

A few years ago, everything changed for me with the loss of my father.

While I expected the loss, nothing prepares you for the quiet it leaves behind.

His passing gave me permission to face what I had pushed aside while he was ill: the slow, creeping sense that the life I had built no longer felt like mine.

I had focused so much on achieving that I stopped asking if any of it mattered to me.

I wanted to wake up excited. Feel proud of my days. Build something that felt more aligned with who I was becoming.

So I stepped away.

No perfect plan. No clear next move.

What I did have was my mom, who showed up with a steady presence and a determination for us to keep moving forward the way my dad would have wanted.

I also had my closest friends, who held space for me during a season that was equal parts painful and transformative.

Having people who believe in you when you cannot quite believe in yourself yet is not something everyone gets.

It is something I carry into every client relationship.

Where this work began

During that time, I took a part-time job at a high-end boutique just to have somewhere to be.

Honestly, I needed to breathe.

After years of working fully remote, I wanted community, people to talk to, and a reason to get dressed in the morning.

What I did not expect was to walk into a room full of young people and realize how many of them were capable, driven, and completely unsure of what came next.

They could hit sales goals. Follow procedures. Handle customers. Learn quickly. Show up under pressure.

But beneath all that capability was a quiet frustration.

They had degrees, ambition, work ethic, and personality.

What they did not have was a clear way to turn all of that into the career they actually wanted.

Almost without realizing it, I became the person they came to.

I reviewed resumes. Talked through interviews. Helped them think through decisions that felt enormous because, at that stage, they were.

What I kept seeing was that talent was not the issue.

The missing piece was having someone in their corner who could help them navigate the unspoken rules.

How to position themselves.

What to say.

Where to start.

How to move with confidence when everything felt unclear.

That is when something clicked.

Why I built Mayrose

I created Mayrose LLC to help students, recent grads, and early-career professionals turn career confusion into clear, practical next steps.

I know what it feels like to rebuild.

I also know that I did not stumble into a new career. I had to learn how to strategize one.

I earned my degree in Communication and Computer Science from DePauw University, then started my career in a fast-growing logistics company with no industry experience.

Over time, I built a track record in account management, operations, client communication, team leadership, and problem-solving under pressure.

Today, I work full-time at Roche Diagnostics while completing my MBA through Purdue University Global and building Mayrose LLC as a solo founder.

That path was not luck.

It was a combination of learning how to read opportunities, communicate value, position experience, and move with intention.

That is the same perspective I bring to every client I work with.

How I can help

I support people navigating career growth, job searches, and professional transitions.

Whether you are updating your resume, applying for internships, preparing for interviews, or trying to figure out what direction makes sense, my goal is to give you a practical place to start.

This work is about more than getting a job.

It is about helping you understand your strengths, tell your story clearly, and take ownership of your next step.

If you are ready to stop guessing and start moving with more clarity, I would love to help.

Not sure what you need yet? That’s okay.

Send me a note with where you are right now, what feels unclear, or what you’re hoping to figure out. I’ll read it and point you toward the best next step.

You don’t need the perfect question. Just start with what’s on your mind.
